Tips & Tricks for Cookies & Cream Vegan Popsicles
Freezing Time
The freezing time for your popsicles will very depending on the style of popsicle molds you use and how cold your freezer is. Make sure that your popsicles are fully frozen, or else they may break off the sticks and make a mess.
Variations to Cookies and Cream Vegan Popsicles
Choosing a Yogurt
I used a coconut yogurt for my popsicles, but you can use any plant-based, dairy-free yogurt that you prefer. I recommend choosing a plain or vanilla flavored yogurt so the yogurt doesn't overpower the other popsicle ingredients.
Popsicle Molds
Feel free to use any size or style of popsicle molds! You can buy fully washable molds that come with plastic or silicone sticks, or you can go old school and use wooden sticks for your popsicles. It's fully a personal preference!
No Molds, No Problem
Don't have popsicle molds on hand? Go to the store and buy the little paper cups you use for brushing your teeth. Fill your cups with the popsicle mixture, and place plastic wrap or aluminum foil over each cup. Then stick a popsicle stick into the cup—the plastic wrap or aluminum foil will hold the stick in place.
Freeze your popsicles as normal, then peel off the paper cup and enjoy!
Mix Ins
Want to change up your popsicles? Try adding in swirls of nut butter or sprinkling in some chocolate chips. Whatever other ingredients you choose, just mix them into the batter before pouring it into the molds.
Oreo Flavor
Use any flavor of Oreos you want: birthday cake Oreos, mint Oreos, the list goes on. Have fun and create one-of-a-kind popsicles that fit your liking!
Cookies and Cream Vegan Popsicles FAQs
Are coconut cream and coconut milk the same thing?
Coconut cream and coconut milk are not the same thing. Coconut cream is a lot thicker in texture than coconut milk. You are welcome to use either for this recipe, but using cream will give your popsicles a richer and creamier texture than using milk.
Are Oreos vegan?
Oreos are vegan, but they do not say so on the package. However, Oreos are made in a facility where dairy is used. So if you are allergic to dairy products, I would recommend not using Oreos for your popsicles to avoid running the risk of getting sick.
Choose another kind of cookie or candy to crush or chop into your popsicles!
How long do these Oreo popsicles last?
You can store your popsicles in the freezer for up to 2 months. You can store them in the popsicle molds or in a freezer container to prevent ice crystals from forming.

Notes

- Coconut cream is thicker than coconut milk—they are not the same ingredient. You can use either coconut product for this recipe, but the coconut cream will provide a better texture.
- You can substitute the coconut yogurt for any dairy-free yogurt of your choice.
- Oreos are vegan, but the package does contain a warning that they are prepared in a facility that handles dairy. If this concerns you from an ethical standpoint or you have a dairy allergy, you may wish to replace the Oreos with a suitable alternative.
